(Press Release) MIM Software is currently demonstrating MIMcloud 2.0 at their booth (#725/727) at the 2011 SIIM conference in Washington, D.C.
MIM Software Inc., a leading global provider of medical imaging software, announced today that MIMcloud 2.0 has been released worldwide. MIM Software is currently demonstrating MIMcloud 2.0 at their booth (#725/727) at the 2011 SIIM conference in Washington, D.C. MIMcloud provides an easy, convenient, and secure way for physicians and patients to transfer images.
“MIMcloud combined with Mobile MIM makes remote imaging practical on an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. MIMcloud also integrates with our workstation software for a complete viewing solution,” said Mark Cain, MIM Software’s Chief Technology Officer. “And with our recent release of VueMe for patients, we decided to expand MIMcloud's capabilities.”
The new MIMcloud 2.0 interface features thumbnail previews, improved searching, and a set of intuitive tabs for users to view, share, and control their studies. Flexible permissions and role management meet the needs of both small and large institutions.
Sharing has been dramatically improved. Users can transfer studies to those who have not yet signed up for a MIMcloud account. Users can also receive studies from anyone, even those without MIMcloud accounts, thanks to the MIMcloud drop box.
For integration with PACS and other systems, MIMcloud Express, a free stand-alone install, creates a DICOM node in an institution that encrypts and routes images directly to a MIMcloud account, including its contacts and groups.
“Now you can push a study to your trauma team from any system in the hospital with a single DICOM send,” added Cain, “and that type of timesavings can dramatically improve patient care.”
MIM Software Inc. (www.mimsoftware.com) provides practical imaging solutions in the fields of radiation oncology, radiology, nuclear medicine, neuroimaging, and cardiac imaging. MIM offers solutions for PC and Mac workstations, as well as mobile iOS and cloud-based platforms. MIM is a privately held company that sells its products globally to imaging centers, hospitals, specialty clinics, research organizations, and pharmaceutical companies.
