Dominator Radiology names CEO

PACS start-up Dominator RadiologySystems this month reported the hiring of Gadi Maier as CEO. Maiercomes to Dominator from computer manufacturer Oracle, where hewas vice president and general manager of the massively parallelsystems division.

Dominator of San Diego was formed in 1992 by two radiologists,Dr. Evan Fram and Dr. Murray Reicher, to commercialize their PACSsoftware (SCAN 9/22/93). Dominator debuted at last year's RadiologicalSociety of North America meeting with a PC-based PACS productdesigned to provide a low-cost entry to digital image management.
