Toshiba America Medical Systems has added image management, viewing, and archiving options to its cardiovascular imaging products through an OEM agreement with Heartlab.
The Tustin, CA-based company has integrated the Heartlab DICOMview cardiac PACS and image management system into its Infinix line to improve retrieval and archiving of cardiac images.
These images can now be acquired in the cardiac cath lab on Toshibas Infinix angiography system and then transferred through Toshibas DICOM gateway to Heartlabs DICOMview enterprise server for online review using the DICOMview review station. Images are then sent to the DICOMview image archive for long-term storage and retrieval.
The relationship with Heartlab does not affect Toshibas OEM arrangement with Agfa for PACS, according to the company. Toshiba continues to use the Agfa Impax system for all other radiology image management and image storage applications.
