Ziegler president Thomas Norman announced last month that Zieglerhad decided to scale back its investment in refurbishing equipmentdue to aggressive OEM price slashing on new equipment, which wascutting into used equipment sales. The West Bend, WI, companyhalted its effort to enlarge its direct sales force for refurbishedequipment and said it was in negotiations to sell its Omaha refurbishingcenter (SCAN 7/31/96). Ziegler will continue to sell pre-ownedequipment.
