German multimodality vendor Siemens has appointed Hermann Requardt as general manager of itsMR division, effective in January. Requardt replaces Tom Miller,who returned to the U.S. last year when he was appointed vicepresident of imaging systems at the company's U.S. subsidiaryin Iselin, NJ (SCAN 12/14/94).
Requardt is a 10-year Siemens veteran who has worked in thecompany's MR coils business for much of his career at the vendor.Requardt said one of his priorities is to continue the momentumgenerated by Miller, who streamlined the MR division's operations.
"Tom Miller created a lot of momentum. He establisheda decrease in hierarchical thinking and empowered a teamwork approach,"Requardt told SCAN. "Since I came to MR it has been a consolidationof what Miller really kicked off."
