Clarify, a vascular enhancement option for Siemens' premium Antares ultrasound system, has been added to the StellarPlus Performance package. Clarify, which uses power Doppler blood flow data, minimizes noise to better visualize intricate networks of small blood vessels and reduce the steps needed to complete vascular studies.

"With the push of a button, you can differentiate clutter from fill-in or noise in the image versus true anatomy, so small vessels stand out much more clearly and definitively in the image," said Bill Carrano, vice president of worldwide marketing for Siemens Medical Solutions ultrasound division. "It's a workflow improvement that gets the exam done with no compromises in the quality of the image and in less time."

Clarify expands StellarPlus Performance, which at last year's RSNA meeting sported color panoramic imaging, multiple-view spatial compounding, and contrast agent and 3D imaging.
