PSS World Medical continues to follow a consistent trajectory of acquisitions. The company's Diagnostic Imaging subsidiary this month announced an agreement to purchase Tristar Imaging Systems of South Beloit, IL. Tristar is a private imaging distributor serving Illinois, south and central Wisconsin, and eastern Iowa. It reports annual revenues of roughly $40 million. The transaction is contingent on Tristar shareholder approval.

The Tristar deal continues a string of purchase agreements that Jacksonville, FL-based Diagnostic Imaging has been pursuing in the last year. When final, the deal with Tristar will give Diagnostic Imaging key access to midwestern states.
