Modern Healthcare and HIMSS Announce CEO IT Achievement Award

CHICAGO, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Modern Healthcare and HIMSS announced the creation of the CEO IT Achievement Award at the HIMSS Annual Conference in San Diego, CA. The award recognizes one or more healthcare CEOs who demonstrate leadership and commitment to using information technology to advance their organization's goals.

The annual award is open to CEOs of any type of healthcare organization and will be judged by a panel of healthcare CEOs, CIOs and other senior-level executives from healthcare provider organizations.

The nomination process is open anyone who would like to submit a healthcare CEO. However, the senior-most technology officer at the nominee's organization must make the actual submission.

The recipient(s) of the 2003 award will be announced and profiled in upcoming issues of Modern Healthcare and honored at the HIMSS Summer Conference, June 9-10 in Chicago.
