CINCINNATI, Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- MedPlus(TM) today announced the general availability of OptiMaxx EIS(TM) (Enterprise Imaging Solution), a dynamic electronic imaging solution which allows healthcare facilities to store, retrieve and analyze information within a single department or across an entire enterprise. OptiMaxx EIS offers two operation models: it can serve as an independent system at a single site or as a networked system with a "hub" connecting one or more remote locations to allow for enterprise-wide document management. The solution utilizes a Web-based architecture and provides quick access to documents via simple searches, easy data entry options for quick additions to the system, tools to reconcile lost or misplaced documents or images, and detailed audit trail features to assist with document security and HIPAA compliance.
"This new product offers a broad range of functionality that provides significant benefits to both small and large healthcare facilities," said Richard A. Mahoney, President of MedPlus. "With its flexible architecture design and variety of applications, OptiMaxx EIS can help sites move from a simple storage and retrieval system toward a complete electronic patient record solution."
MedPlus will provide demonstrations of the OptiMaxx EIS product, the ChartMaxx(R) enterprise-wide electronic patient record solution, and the eMaxx(R) physician portal solution at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference in booth number 5025 during established business hours at the San Diego Convention Center, Monday, February 10 through Thursday, February 13.
