Imaging center firm Medical Resources continues to grow through acquisitions. With the purchase of six centers in Ohio, Hackensack, NJ-based Medical Resources has 101 imaging centers in its stable. The company has also acquired RIS developer Dalcon Technologies.
The six Ohio centers were purchased for $8.7 million in cash and notes convertible into the company's common stock plus the assumption of debt. The centers have combined annual revenues of about $5.4 million.
In other Medical Resources news, the company has purchased RIS developer Dalcon Technologies for $2.6 million in cash and stock. Nashville, TN-based Dalcon will operate as a separate subsidiary and will continue to develop and market its products and services to its clients.
The acquisition allows Medical Resources to efficiently integrate the firm's rapidly growing center base, according to the company. It will also allow the company to enhance the service it provides to referring physician groups, managed-care organizations, and affiliated interpreting physicians.
