Toshiba Medical Systems has renewed and expanded a $10 million contract that provides imaging equipment to the more than 700 members of the MHA/MedEcon group purchasing organization. Toshiba will provide its Aquilion CT and Opart open MR systems, PowerVision 8000 and 6000 ultrasound systems, and E.Cam dual-head nuclear medicine camera. The contract also provides for x-ray equipment, including the Infinix angiographic and Max-1000 and Efficiency systems.
At the end of last month, Toshiba signed a three-year, sole-source agreement to provide cardiovascular and diagnostic ultrasound systems to the 12,000 hospitals and clinics of Magnet, another GPO (SCAN 2/29/00).
