Maxant to Debut Dual-Format Image Display

Article

Maxant will debut at RSNA 2012 a dual-format medical image viewing display system to allow providers to view digital and analog images side-by-side.

Maxant Technologies will debut at RSNA 2012 a dual-format medical image viewing display system to allow providers to view digital and analog images side-by-side.

Intersect has a built-in DICOM gateway for accessing and displaying PACS images as well as a high-bright lightbox for simultaneous viewing of hardcopy images. The display allows for split-screen viewing of worklists and multi-modality digital images for comparison with prior hard copy exams.

This is the first-ever effective solution of dual-format reading and a convenient path from film-based to electronic image viewing, the company said.

The solution is also well suited to orthopedic, surgical and emergency application, the company said, providing a cost-effective way to deliver images outside of the radiology setting.
