Digital X-ray provider Kubtec will highlight its recently FDA approved Digiview 250 digital radiography detector at RSNA 2011.

Digital X-ray provider Kubtec will highlight its recently FDA approved Digiview 250 digital radiography detector at RSNA 2011.

The system is the first and only digital radiography detector to employ CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) technology, which provides low-dose, high-resolution imaging, according to the company. The Digiview 250 detector, which was awarded FDA approval last month, is designed for neonatal, pediatric and extremity imaging.

The system weighs less than 7 pounds and is designed for easy positioning, the company said. It features 96μm pixel and 14 bit contrast with a 20 cm x 25 cm active imaging area, and it integrates with any existing X-ray source.
