PACS and imaging veteran Caren Mason has joined eMed Technologies as CEO in a move intended to strengthen the companys resources as it broadens into Web-based image workflow products and services. Former CEO and president Scott Sheldon continues as president of the Lexington, MA-based firm and will work closely with Mason to further eMeds growth and expansion.
Mason brings to eMed more than 20 years experience in healthcare imaging and information businesses, most recently as general manager of the Womens Healthcare business for General Electric. Prior to GE she was senior vice president of the technical imaging business group for Agfa, where she headed up the Agfa Medical, Motion Picture, Nondestructive Testing, and Micrographics businesses. She has also held management positions at Baxter Healthcare.
