Application developer Integrated Document Solutions (IDS) will unveil at HIMSS 2012 the latest versions of its smartphone apps aimed at unifying work lists and improving accessibility.
Using IDS mobile apps, providers can authenticate verbal orders, dictate patient encounters, remotely sign reports, and document appropriate billing levels, according to the company. The apps are available for iPhone, Blackberry, Andriod and Windows Mobile devices.
At HIMSS, IDS will highlight:
Mobile Voice2Dox - This end-to-end dictation solution is based on the provider’s daily work list of scheduled patients, and drafts appear with selected templates and format for final review and electronic approval.
Digital Pen - IDS is debuting a digital handwriting app to document patient encounter information. Digital pen and paper technology allows for data capture and transfer using a camera-embedded pen and USB docking station with Bluetooth capabilities.
Mobile DICOM Viewer -This app streams diagnostic images with numerous viewing tools on the iPad.
Charge Capture - This cross-platform app allows hospitals to securely record charge capture details using a tablet or smartphone. Physicians can record information at the point of care and transfer to the billing department for claims processing.
Physician Verbal Orders - This electronic workflow process authenticates verbal and telephone orders. Physicians can receive notification of verbal orders requiring signature, and review, reject or sign via the device.
