IDS will demonstrate at RSNA 2014, AbbaDox Exchange, its new image and results communication platform.
IDS will debut at RSNA 2014 the AbbaDox Exchange image and results communication platform.
The platform automates distribution of final radiology reports to a referrer’s EHR through Meaningful Use-compliant direct messaging, the company announced. The cloud-based technology transmits a full range of data, including image links and CCD files, to multiple sites across the continuum of care without a HL7 feed.
The AbbaDox Exchange eliminates the complexity of HL7 data mapping, setup, and maintenance, IDS said.
A subscribing facility’s images and radiology reports automatically and transparently flow to the AbbaDox cloud platform after acquisition, and then are forwarded to the referring physician’s direct e-mail address, along with a link to the related diagnostic quality images, IDS said. The “direct” standards specify a simple, consistent way to send authenticated, encrypted health information directly to trusted recipients over the Internet and are incorporated in Stage 2 Meaningful Use, IDS said.
Image links that accompany the reports also help meet certain requirements for Stage 2 Meaningful Use compliance.
The AbbaDox Exchange platform also transmits information from any departmental IT system to a similar endpoint system, as well as to another EHR, IDS said.
