HOUSTON, May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Healthlink Incorporated, a Houston-based, privately held provider-focused healthcare information systems consulting firm, has named Randy L. Thomas as vice president of Implementation Services. Thomas is responsible for the Eclipsys and the MEDITECH practices within Healthlink. In her role, she will manage Healthlink's development, implementation and optimization of Eclipsys and MEDITECH applications for new and existing clients.

Prior to Healthlink, Thomas served in positions of increasing responsibility at Eclipsys Corporation, a provider of knowledge-driven healthcare information solutions. During her 13-year tenure at Eclipsys, Thomas began as a product manager at Transition Systems, Inc. (acquired by Eclipsys in 1998) and most recently served as the executive vice president of the SunClinical Data Institute, an Eclipsys business division formed in 2002. SunClinical is a national clinical data warehouse utilized by healthcare and lifesciences organizations. Other responsibilities at Eclipsys included defining corporate strategy, creating product development strategy, assisting in business growth activities and leading marketing efforts.

Thomas earned a bachelor's degree in English from Temple University.
