New smart devices and intelligent applications showcased at Arab Health 2020.
DUBAI-GE Healthcare unveiled more than two dozen new products at the Arab Health 2020 annual meeting Monday – three of which are awaiting approval in the United States.
After securing 510(k) approval from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, these products could potentially increase health system efficiency, augment productivity, and save money.
These products, based on Edison, GE’s secure intelligence platform, are awaiting approval:
AIR™ Recon DL: This application, developed using a neural network trained on tens of thousands of images with the Edison AI Platform, provides True Fidelity images and is a GE-first, deep-learning MRI reconstruction technology application. It is designed to improve signal-to-noise and image sharpness, as well as enable shorter scan times.
Revolution™ Maxima with AI-Based Auto Positioning: This CT is intended to maximize each workflow step. Using AI-based Auto Positioning technology, the product uses real-time depth sensing technology to produce a 3D model of a patient’s body to identify scan range center and align it to the isocenter of the bore automatically. According to a company press release, the product is intended to simplify and automate the CT experience for one-click, hands-free patient positioning.
Embo Assist with Virtual Injection: This project is designed to help with the performance of complex embolization procedures. By analyzing the vasculature and simulating injections with one click, it can help identify the proper strategy to side-step embolizing healthy tissues in the brain or prostate. It is intended to supplement clinical decision-making tools in the interventional suite.
