Medical networking company ETIAM plans to introduce at RSNA 2012 a Web-based universal image viewer. The ETIAM Viewer is compatable with PCs, Macs, iPhone, iPad and Android operating systems and integrates into the company’s enterprise medical imaging platform.

ETIAM-Connect enables sites to accept, view and manage imaging data on any format or media, the company said. With the viewer, the solution also provides a flexible way to share data beyond the enterprise.

The new viewer allows radiologists, referring physicians and patients to view images quickly through an intuitive design and easy-to-use viewing tools, the company said. Referring physicians and patients are emailed a password-protected link to launch the viewer.
