ETIAM Corp. is introducing its turnkey system for communicating and managing images beyond the enterprise.
ETIAM Corp. is introducing at HIMSS 2012 its turnkey system for communicating and managing images beyond the enterprise.
The ETIAM-Connect integrates external images into the internal workflow by automatically identifying exam type, directing information to the appropriate department, and enabling viewing any image format. The system also supports all imaging-related data.
Patient films are scanned, CDs are copied, and electronic files can be transferred securely into the solution, using technology that bypasses the cloud. ETIAM-Connect creates an organized digital exam management system similar to a PACS that allows outside images to be saved and routed. It also creates and manages work lists of external images earmarked for permanent storage to a PACS.
According to ETIAM, most other image sharing systems handle only electronic images, not CDs or film, and use cloud-based image storage.
