A new ultrasound system and an upgrade to an existing product from Esoate address interest in compact ultrasound. The Italian company upgraded its MyLab 30 to guide biopsies, assist in the placement of needles and catheters, and perform peripheral nerve blocks. Also available for sale in the U.S., following its FDA clearance, is MyLab 40. It supports 3D and 4D, intraoperative, and urologic applications.
