Conference re-scheduled for July 2020.
The European Society of Radiology (ESR) announced today it will postpone its ECR 2020 conference, scheduled for March 11-15, 2020, due to concerns over the expanding global spread of COVID-19.
The annual meeting is now planned for July 15-19, 2020, in Vienna. According to an ESR statement, registration fees and online services will remain in place for the new date, and registration for the event is still open.
In noting the “safety, health, and well-being” of conference attendees is its highest priority, the ESR reached the decision to cancel after assessing statements from the World Health Organization and the European Center for Disease Control and Prevention about world-wide restrictions and crisis. The organization acknowledged it could not, at this time, fulfill the requirements set forth by the Austrian health authorities to guarantee the health safety of meeting participants and industry partners.
