Carestream will highlight at RSNA 2013 a new generation of its Vue PACS platform as a work in progress. The new platform is designed to enhance productivity for radiologists and referring physicians.
The enhancements include embedded access to key image data using links within the report and a teleradiology module that gives remote radiologists access to prior exams and automatically sends reports to the requesting facility.
Radiologists will be able to insert bookmarks that contain key images into the reports, the company said, with the goal of adding more diagnostic information for physicians.
The optional Vue for Teleradiology module is also a work in progress and is designed to make off-site reading more efficient, allowing radiologists to access worklists and delivery reports. It uses Carestream’s Vue Motion zero footprint image viewer to transfer imaging studies.
Carestream will also highlight the ability of the Vue Motion viewer to support 3D capabilities as a work in progress. New clinical functionality will include the use of bookmarks in a report and MPR and 3D rendering.
