Carestream will announce a new VNA platform with advanced capabilities at RSNA 2014.
Carestream at RSNA 2014 will debut its new Clinical Data Collaboration platform that goes beyond the capabilities offered by a vendor-neutral archive (VNA), Carestream said.
This new platform helps equip the process of managing, providing, receiving, and reimbursing care with the ability to share and manage clinical data in ways that can help reduce costs and improve service delivery, Carestream said. It employs Carestream’s VNA to archive and exchange dermatology, endoscopy, radiology, and cardiology files.
Carestream announced that in an effort to allow health care departments to maintain autonomy while sharing a workflow, they will demonstrate at RSNA 2014 the data ingestion workflow via mobile devices as part of a work-in-progress linked to the Clinical Data Collaboration platform.
This new platform also provides access to specialists - enabling tele-consultancy using a zero-footprint viewer that can be embedded into the EMR. Carestream’s MyVue portal provides patients access and ability to share personal medical imaging data while Vue Beyond provides real-time business intelligence for strategic decision making.
