Privately held clinical research organization Biocor has developed its medical imaging audit trail to trace changes to a DICOM-structured report. The audit trail system records all modifications to the image header information, including who modified the information, when it was modified, and what was modified. The software also enables clinicians and researchers to track archived imaging data back to the point of acquisition. Biocor sees applications for this product in clinical trials, as well as generally in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. The firm presented the system to working group 18 of the DICOM committee in November.
